the big Mafia mob arrested...

there's a side story to this lino cut. Whilst I was managing the MARNI store in Double Bay, despite living awfully far away esp by public transport. I use to wait and catch the ferry for special occasions when I wanted to breath in the sea breeze and admire passing the "coat hanger" and the architectural wonder of the Opera House. As I sat waiting I pulled out my lino cut and started "cutting". An older gentleman with black thick rimmed glasses and white hair sat near me. Curiosity got the better of him and he inquired about my lino-cut. We ended up talking for an hour about all things Art, Music and living in the swinging 60's in Paris and London. It was one of those rare occasions where you connect with someone. This chaps name was Donald Fish who just happens to be one of ours finest Illustrators. I hope that I send my print to him in thanks of our inspiring conversation that night.

  1. Hmm, it's interesting to think about the amazing people we might be standing in the ATM line with, or sitting next to at your favourite cafe...I bet he's be delighted to receive something from you Ritz!
